These pieces are truly collector's items and are covered by a warranty of 15 years against defects in workmanship, material or construction by Gat Creek the furniture manufacturer. My Inspirations from Japan

Japanese design continues to influence many of my fabric,case goods and upholstery. The clean simple lines make for serene interiors. Sunbrella, has been able to capture many of these rich silks and tapestries from documents I have purchased in Japan...amazing!

Great to be back to California after a wonderful Furniture Market. We are happy with the reactions to all the new products and the new Sunbrella Fabrics. Where Did Everyone Go?

The High Point Furniture Market is officially over for Fall 2009. We believe it was one of our best ever markets. Buyers had a positive energy and are purchasing. Our association with Miles Talbott is very strong and we look forward to our continued growth with Sunbrella which plays a major roll in our future. We also welcome all our partners to our showroom, Gat Creek, W.King Ambler, Casa Fiora and Craftmade. Exciting times ahead!

Home is a great place when you can put your feet up on the sofa and not worry about it. With my Sunbrella fabrics you can enjoy a good book and not worry about spilling anything or not being able to use a certain piece of furniture. My goal is to let every room be enjoyed by the whole family!

The entrance to my showroom at Miles Talbott in High Point. My new color introduction Stone is a mix of beige, gray and mulberry...a new color direction for my collection. Travels to Mexico

Fond memories during travels to Mexico City I enjoyed meeting Ezequiel Farca who has a delightful design shop. Here we are in "old town": me, my daughter Beth and Ezequiel.

The Excitement Builds for Upholstery!

At Miles Talbott Furniture the energy is high as new pieces come out of the upholstery shop. Here is the Melrose chair covered in Sunbrella pattern Joy/Char. As you can see it is not completed but I wanted to share this "behind the scenes" look before I install these pieces in the rooms that will showcase my Fall Collection 2009. More Later!

A new Sofa to Reveal

Here is our Wong Sofa. This will be introduced next week at the International Furniture Market. This sofa is upholstered in JR/Sunbrella Kenya/Birch with a Trax/Vellum welt also antique nail heads. Just out of the upholstery shop; I will have room shots next week featuring this graceful sofa.

I am very pleased W.King Ambler will be introducing my signed limited edition artwork, fabric designs and photography next week at the International Furniture Market in High Point, N.C. W.King Ambler is one of the most respected Art Galleries in the Furniture Industry and they produced an impressive array of pieces to showcase items I have had in my archives and have not made available until now. You can also view this artwork at the Miles Talbott showroom, 1690 English Rd. High Point, N.C. This body of work is composed of images from my international travels and renderings from my textile designs as well as original art.

Latest Sofa Design in Sunbrella!

Just finished for the Furniture Market next week my Wong Settee! Here shown in my Sunbrella fabric Kenya/Birch and contrast cushion in Tamba/Wren it will be introduced at Miles Talbott Furniture as the International Furniture Market begins in High Point, N.C.
What I particularly like about this design is the ability to use contrasting fabrics on the cushion, sides and back for a new look in upholstery. This also makes great seating for dining...possibilities are endless.

Recently, I was giving a lecture at a local design center, and a woman asked me about durable fabrics for children. It's a question that I always get asked.

Personally, we never sacrificed on style when raising our 3 active children, and I don't believe others should either. When it comes to raising kids in a stylish home, it's all about making the right choices.

Certainly, you are not going to upholster a sofa in a precious silk, but a durable fabric with an elegant look, is the way to go. See video below for inspiration.
