Maria Manetti Farrow hosted a wonderful lunch in the gardens of her vineyard. The Oakville, California estate is beautifully designed in the Tuscan manner. What a perfect setting for this exceptional event.Photo: The New York Social Diary.
Charlotte designer Bobbie Cox presented me with this beautiful piece of pottery and a book all about the North Carolina Artists. I will display the work of these talented artists in the showroom next market.
The best part of Furniture Market is seeing new and familar faces visit the showroom. This year we greeted Julie Bova and her team and what fun they are to have talk about projects with Sunbrella. Sonya Cunningham owner of the Creative Visions Design Group and her sister where new faces but friends on the internet. Of course seeing press is always an honor. This lovely lady, Linda Sporleder from the Indiana Press, Sporleder Communications had some wonderful comments about Italian Classico. Thanks, Everyone for the visits to Miles Talbott.

What a pleasure to meet designer Gloria De Lourdes Blalock from Arlington, Virginia. She is extremely talented and a delightful personality. What a breath of fresh air she brought.
Beautiful New Growth arrangements grace the showroom.
Katie Brice our helper from High Point University is a delight to have help us in the showroom and did I mention beautiful as well.
The Jordan boys, Will and Ben stop by to test the Sunbrella fabrics. No worry, all my furniture is "kid friendly"
Jim Stokes, Managing Partner of Miles Talbott is one of our "young geniuses" and a pleasure to work with...great partner.
A group of Charlotte, North Carolina designers came to the Meyers Park Country Club to hear Joe Ruggiero present his Sunbrella and Miles Talbott collections and discuss his "World Wide" travels and inspirations for design. She knew just about all the famous legends in the arts and told her stories in a series of lectures that have become the talk of the art world. These lectures were mostly given at the Metropolitan Museum in New York to standing room only audiences. I salute this lady, Rosamond Bernier on her 95th birthday. What a treasure. (Pictured here with her step son.) A new book Some of My Lives, just published.

Our Friends at Sunbrella hosted a dinner for the Ruggiero family at the Chef's table at the Montage Beverly Hills restaurant Scarpetta. What a wonderful way to celebrate with the family as the kitchen staff prepared the meal before our eyes. The entire Ruggiero family thank our friends at Sunbrella for this thoughtful and memorable gift.

A small New York apartment never looked so good. This space was designed by and for designer Maureen Footer and what a lovely job she has done with basically a one room apartment. The placement of the work area, living room and bedroom all work together and give the illusion of a much larger space. The bedroom is merely divided by an upholstered screen Each and every piece has been beautifully curated by Maureen and the mix of colors, wallcovering and fabric choices "smashing." Brava Maureen.
