Whether it is Meryl Streep playing an Editorial Diva in The Devil Wears Prada or Anna Wintour, the current reigning "Fashion Queen" or Diana Vreeland the legendary Editorial Dominatrix, they seem to make the world take notice of what's "hot" and what's "not." Those marvelous tweeds so indicative of the suits of CoCo Chanel are now very popular in Home Design. My collection of textures for Sunbrella and Miles Talbott seem to be what the buyer wants today. CoCo put it very simply: "A garment must be logical." I agree, fabrics must wear and not fade. You have to live with them and enjoy your home. A true design genius. Cecil Beaton fed off the aura of high society; reflected it, adorned it and gave it back a romantic alluring sheen that fictionalized its existence.
