Fine Art Show In Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia.

In September a Fine Art Exhibit and sale fills Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square. During my visit to this city of "brotherly love" I was able to view some wonderful art and enjoy this historic park. It had been 46 years since I last visited Philadelphia where I attended College, Villanova and Graduate School, The Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania.

The New Herb Gardens at the Ojai Valley Inn, Ojai California

The New Herb Garden at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa is delightful. Meandering paths through fragrant lavender and various herbs, such as mint and rosemary and a new pool, cafe and spa area. The peace and serenity at the Ojai Inn make it a very special place to "get away."

The Succulents of Pelican Hill. A Treasure Trove of 35 different species and hybrids.

The Resort at Pelican Hill spans more than 100 acres of hillside above the Pacific Ocean. The display of succulents in containers and baskets throughout the property is an impressive collection of some very rare varieties and colors. As a big "fan" of succulents, I delighted in this display and wanted to share.

Lake Como One Of My Favorite Parts Of Italy & The Villa Carlotta.

Memories of Lake Como in the summer still are vivid in my memory. A return to a life well lead.

The painting below is from the 19th century and today it looks very much the same.
One of the most beautiful parts of Italy is Lake Como. In the summer it is magical and alive with activity.

Christmas in France

How delightful: "Christmas in France." The snow covering the ground during this period of time and the welcome of a crackling fire in a room filled with books, French antiques, fresh evergreen and good cheer. Joyeux Noel.

'21' Club is all dressed up for Christmas!

The Christmas season always brings memories of my days in New York and working at CBS and Martex. I can remember many a fun lunch and parties at '21' and especially when it was only a few doors down from CBS Black Rock. ( the name for the beautiful CBS building at 51 West 51 street). Those were golden days in New York City.
'21' always looks so festive at this time of year.

Versailles First Snowfall.

The beauty that is France. Here is the first snowfall this year at the Palace of Versailles or the french would say a "premieres neiges."

The peace and serenity of these pictures only emphasizes the spectacular architecture and gardens as they remain to this day.

Thanks to Irene Turner for showing me these magnificent photos and to my french son-in-law, Philippe for sharing the beauty of France with us all.

Flower Display at the Ritz, Dallas

I would not suggest you try this at home but these young men at the Ritz Carlton, Dallas worked hard to make this spectacular floral display. This "floral spectacular" probably takes elaborate prep but the results are quite impressive. It was so much fun to watch them build this display.

Dr. Laura Prestwood, Professor of Interior Design, Texas Christian University and (right) Martha Griffin, Executive Editor Design Guide begin the judging process.

Sharon Davis, Executive Director Arts Awards left and Lindsey Villarreal, Director of Marketing/Retail Relations for the Dallas Market Center.

Geoffrey's in Malibu a Favorite

Nothing beats lunch at Geoffrey's right on the beach. The view of the ocean is glorious and the food extremely creative. Here Tuna with a side of Asian Slaw and the Lobster Salad is so fresh and beautifully arranged. My favorite is the Miso broiled Tofu on mixed vegetables. Any way you order it is a real treat.
