Here are my selections for
Design Books for the
Christmas Season. I enjoyed the historical references of design in
Pauline C. Metcalf's book on
Syrie Maugham. Delighted with the focus on movie design in
Cathy Whitlock's book of
Designs on Film. Nothing is more timeless than the work of
David Easton and I believe this book,
Timeless Elegance will go on to be a collector's item.
Carolyne Roehm has inspired us with her marvelous sense of style in the books she has already created, this latest book
Passion for Interiors, brings us "up to date" with her latest designs. Be prepared to be
Wowed by her design for a friend's Aspen Home. And certainly not last in any design crowd,
Mary McDonald shares her unique sense of color and design sense in her beautifully produced book. And may I add
Doug Turshen the art director behind many of the design books today is by far one of the most talented book designers we have. Hands down, Doug has a superb eye for design. I also recommend
Suzanne Rhienstein's book
At Home; beautifully executed.
