Monticello. A Visit To This Architectural Gem

As I have mentioned before I have always liked to visit America's Architectural Gems and certainly Monticello is one of them. Thomas Jefferson certainly had an amazing eye for architecture and his influence from European classics is evident here on the property he designed. As you tour the house and grounds you can see hints of Palladio and buildings that dot the streets of Paris (one of his favorite cities) but when it came to rest & serenity it was Monticello he loved most. I was inspired and enriched & thankful to have had the time to visit this amazing house.
