Believe it or not we are in the planning stages for the Fall Market Showroom at Miles Talbott and are in the selection process for our Sunbrella fabric collection. The fall of '09 we used a very monotone look which does sell extremely well. This past spring '10 we went for impact and used a deep rich, red and crisp white for the entrance to the showroom (both photographs are taken in the same entrance location). Let me know which you favor. This will help in our decisions this fall.

I believe that monotones are a reflection of the current state of the world as expressed by the interior design industry and into people's' homes; there's a fear of making a costly mistake. and this translates into a fear of committing to color. I say: Be bold. Make a statement. Use color. Go for it! What's there to lose?
ReplyDeleteAlways like the way you think. Amen!
ReplyDeleteI've been a big proponent of color. My Philosophy is "Paint's Cheap" you can always change it without a lot of pain. The high contrast of the crisp white against the red is somehow more calming to me than the monotone look. Intensities which are too close together can create tension, well at least for me!
