The media folks turned out to celebrate
Hearst Magazines last evening at the original beach house of early film star
Marion Davies built for her by
WR Hearst on Santa Monica Beach. Actually the original main house
(pictured left) is no longer standing and this was actually the "guest cottage." What a great evening celebrating the lavish parties that where once the hot invitation in Hollywood with
Cary Grant and
Joan Crawford pictured with
Douglas Fairbanks Jr. as memories of those spectacular parties. I was present with my daughter
Meg Ruggiero Ovikian; it was one of those perfect evenings at the ocean.
Memorable. Thank you all at Hearst for a grand evening.
