Sunbrella Design Ideas!

Each market it gives me great pleasure to design with my new Sunbrella collections. The new lighting groups all utilize my latest patterns and I find it interesting how the "play of light" can change the look of each design. Here on my pendant lamp I have used Taba/Wren. It gives a "faux wood" look. The pattern Origami was inspired by the art of Japanese paper folding and for some reason the pattern Royal Oaks appeals to everyone who sees it. I believe the organic look of leaves randomly placed makes it appealingly natural. All available at Miles Talbott Furniture.

Rose Tarlow Hosts Design Event.

I can not tell you how much I admire California designer Rose Tarlow. I first met Rose when she shared her spectacular home on my show "Homes Across America." She is one of our Design Icons and she continues to inspired us all with her superb design sense. She and Luxe magazine hosted a lecture on design at the spectacular new showroom on Melrose Ave. East Coast/ West Coast design influences was the topic, during La Cienega Design week. Seems like everyone in the Design community turned out for this event: June & Scott Brown visiting from Oregon, ,Michael Wollaeger, Editor at Large with Kelly Persellin of Luxe; Rocky LaFleur, Barclay Buttera, my daughter Meg who joined me for the day, Peter Dunham, Marcie Bronkar...to name only a few. What a wonderful new home for Rose Tarlow.

Flower Power!

In this case "less is more" as I sit in my studio to begin my day. Just one rose or a small group of lilies starts my day off on the right note. Easy to assemble and easy to change and always a reminder of beauty, color, nature and the bounty of the earth. Not a bad idea to stop and smell the roses or whatever flower you have in your garden. Enjoy the day!

Upholstery Details

Attention to details. Our new Conrad chair features a driftwood finish and is upholstered in a new color Fawn for our Sunbrella pattern Trax. The contrast welt is Sunbrella pattern Main street/Latte and does it not look like decorative cording? It is the perfect accent for this new Trax color. All available now at Miles Talbott.

Sacramento Design Super Star!

Sacramento, California designer David Gibson is by far one of America's superb design talents. I met David years ago when I scouted his guest house and we filmed it for Homes Across America. He is not only talented in designing homes but is a landscape architect with wonderful sensibility for style in the garden. He has European taste with an American flair. One of my favorite design talents today.
