At the recent Hearst party I could not help but looking down at what was happening with women's shoes. The women of America are strapped. They are buckled, snaped, laced, studded, zipped, tied and wedged. Not sure if this is really attractive? It does call attention to there feet and perhaps with the price of a pedicure perhaps it is worth it; certainly it is the "must shoe" on the party circuit. ( Please notice the gentleman on my left, your right, he has sensible white bucks; no straps there.)
