Nothing is more inspirational than the windows at Bergdorf Goodman. Memories of my years in New York when Bergdorf's was magical during the holidays. The season always begins with a visit to Bergdorf's and a drink at the Plaza.
As we begin to develop our Sunbrella collection for Fall 2012, we see a strong "ethnic" influence in our patterns and construction. The colors will take a golden hue with new yarns from Sunbrella and an elegant feel to the collection. Look for more on the collections as we continue to edit and design.

As you probably know by now, we enjoy holidays at my daughter's home. She is a wonderful cook and hostess along with her charming husband. We had a friend from France join us this year and it was fun introducing him to the American Thanksgiving. Wonderful things to eat and beautiful surroundings. A Thankful, Proud Father.
We gather together to seek the Lord's blessing. So many to thank for all that has been given to us and may we continue to give to others.
I love Paris. No matter what season, the city glows with excitement. Fond memories of my visits in all seasons. Merci, Paris.
Although it is just a corner of our California garden, the Boston Ivy gives beautiful color at this time of year. It reminds me of "back east" and my College Campus in Philadelphia.
It is always a delight to brunch in the courtyard at the Hotel Costes in Paris. The hotel interiors were designed by Jacques Garcia and it is indeed special. Here you see giant blinis with gravlax and a fricassee of vegetables the perfect menu. You will probably finish with a salad of mixed greens with avocado and tomatoes. Oh yes, a lovely white wine. 
With winter we see changes here in California. Perhaps not as severe as other spots in the country but none the less the garden has a more severe look. We do keep our Sunbrella drape table skirt in Upland/Denim on the table all winter. I like the touch of blue in our green garden. No more dinners outside but we will have lunches overlooking the pool.
