What a delightful escape we had over the weekend at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California. This five diamond hotel is steps away from some of the best shopping in Southern California at Fashion Island. For those who just want to relax at the Spa or poolside the hotel is set in a beautifully landscaped, tropical paradise. We had brunch which rates high on the "eggs benedict" list and the chocolate chip cookies we could not resist. Returning to our room, a lovely fruit platter greeted us and it was beautifully presented. If you are looking for a special escape, I recommend this Island.
