They certainly play a role in what becomes fashionable in the "world-at large." Whether it is Meryl Streep playing an Editorial Diva in The Devil Wears Prada or Anna Wintour, the current reigning "Fashion Queen" or Diana Vreeland the legendary Editorial Dominatrix, they seem to make the world take notice of what's "hot" and what's "not."
